FAQ

Spray Tans

What makes the Nikki Mitchell Premium Tan different?

The Nikki Mitchell Premium Tan range is our signature luxury service, specifically designed for high-stakes events like weddings and formals. Unlike standard solutions, this formula focuses on a natural, “olive” finish that mimics a real sun-kissed glow. It is famous for fading evenly without patchiness, ensuring you look flawless from the event through to your honey-moon or after party.

Which spray tan base is right for my skin tone?

We offer five specialized base tones to ensure a 100% natural results with no orange undertones:

  • Green Base: Best for sensitive skin and those with pink/red undertones (neutralizes redness)

  • Violet Base: Ideal for olive or warm skin tones (counteracts yellow/brassy tones for a deep bronze).

  • Caramel Base: Perfect for those with fair skin and warm undertones wanting a soft, warm, sun-kissed glow.

  • Chocolate Base: Designed for darker skin tones to provide a rich, deep, and cool-toned brown.

  • Ash Base: Best suited for individuals with cool-undertones (pink, red, bluish hues).

How long does a Spray Tan Gold Coast application take?

A professional studio appointment at our Burleigh Heads location typically takes about 15 minutes. This includes a brief consultation to choose your perfect base and a precision application by our expert techinician. I f you can’t make it to the studio, we offer a mobile spray tan service across the Gold Coast.

When should I rinse the tan off?

For the best results with our premium solutions, we recommend an initial 2-3 minute lukewarm water rinse after 2-3 hours or as directed by your technician. Avoid doing a quick 30-60 second rinse as this will not allow the tan to be completely washed off. Do not use soaps or body wash during this first rinse. Your tan will continue to develop to its full “olive” depth over the next 8-12 hours.

Lash Lift

What exactly is a lash lift?

A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that curls and lifts your natural lashes from the base. Unlike a traditional ':perm” that uses round rods for a tight curl, a lift uses silicone shields to create a softer, more natural “L” or “C” shape that opens up the eyes.
